Recap of NY, the weekend, and upcoming travels!

So NY was the best weekend! It was great to have hubs get away from work for a weekend and to just spend time with my parents in the city. As soon as we landed we headed and checked into the Hilton downtown. We grabbed a quick bite to eat at the famous Carnage Deli and then started the shopping!

Saks was our first stop and I scored big with some finds on Tory Burch, Marc by Marc Jacobs and J Brand jeans. Luckily enough, the whole weekend at Saks was a 20% off total order with the Friends and Family sale! Of course not everything was included with the sale, but lots of things were so it made shopping that much better!

The trip really got off to a great start because while we were searching for the perfect bag, I turned my shoulder and saw someone that looked very familiar- Ashley Greene from Twilight! I'm not a huge Twilight fan, but I have seen the movies and love all things celebrity so I recognized her right away! My mom is so funny and will chat with anyone so when I didn't want to bother her for a picture, my mom politely went up to her and asked for a picture and we chatted for probably 10 minutes! She was buying a bag for her friend’s Birthday. The rest of the weekend was spent eating at amazing restaurants- Rosa Mexicana, Uncle Jacks, Shake shack, etc!  More shopping was done, and we went to Bryant Park, Meat packing District, and the Ground Zero construction site which was amazing to be able to see. Taking in the city at its finest- I just love NY!

We had our friends from Canada that we went to College with visit this weekend! It was a great weekend of good food, going out downtown and catching up. I love having friends and family come visit since we are new in our home and we can show them around everywhere.

This week will be a fun but busy one. I am working a dinner party Wednesday night at Whitehead Manor and Hubs 25th Birthday is Thursday! I have some fun things planned and excited to celebrate! Friday we are off to Virginia for my older sister’s Bridal shower. Hubs, Dad, and my Uncles will be playing golf during the shower and have some guy time. My mom, sister and I have been working so hard to plan the perfect day! All of our family will be traveling in for it, so it will be nice to have a weekend to celebrate and see how much she loves everything since everything is a complete surprise.

I am also finishing up planning our trip to Charleston as well! Less than two weeks and I couldn't be more excited!

I need to start adding pictures because I know it is probably not as exciting to just read a blog- I know I love seeing pictures on other blogs I read.

Have a great day,
xoxo Mrs. P
